PILOTS FORGOTTEN
Former pilots are complaining of the indifference of the authorities.
September 2, 1997 by order of the administration of Armenian Airlines JCSC a
benefit fluctuating between $25-105 was assigned for 169 former pilots, who
left the service on their own will. However since June 8, 2003 by decree of
the chief department of the civic aviation the payments have been suspended.
During today’s conference pilot Vladimir Poghosyan noted that the
administration of the Armenian Airlines JCSC condition this step by
financial hardships. However, according to Poghosyan the profit obtained
during 1998-2002 made $28 million 392 thousand 972 USD. He also informed
that the pilots have appealed to various structures, however without any
result.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
