Verelq: The decline of the educational system. YSU is losing positions in the world

“Hraparak” daily writes:

The university system of Armenia is declining year by year instead of developing. Both the number of students is decreasing and the ratings are not increasing.

There are different rating systems of universities in the world. For example, according to the QS World University Rankings system, only YSU was rated among RA universities, and that too in the lowest category, within 1001-1200 marks.

According to these data, it becomes obvious that YSU has declined in the last 5 years, in 2022 it was among the 800-1000, and in 2024 it took the 901st place. This is the worst indicator among regional universities.

To make it clear, let’s note that the Iranian university, which has been under international sanctions for decades, the University of Tehran, for example, is the 322nd in the world. Three Azerbaijani universities were also rated: Baku University is 688th.
