Putin, Aliyev discussed Nagorno-Karabakh situation – Kremlin

Russian and Azerbaijani Presidents Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev had a phone call on Wednesday to particularly discuss the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh and the topic of restoring economic ties and communications in the South Caucasus, the Kremlin reported. 

“Political aspects of implementing agreements between the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia on Nagorno-Karabakh signed on November 9, 2020, and January 11, 2021, were discussed,” the statement reads, according to TASS. 

It is noted that the leaders particularly highlighted the activization of trilateral efforts to restore economic ties and transport communications in the South Caucasus.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
