Specialists of the “TourStat” center, which conducts research in the tourism sectors of Russia and the CIS countries, compiled the top ten New Year’s trees of the countries of the Cooperation of Independent States, according to height.
As RIA Novosti reports, Ashgabat (38 meters) topped the list of ten CIS cities that decorated the tallest Christmas tree. Baku and Yerevan are also in the top three (37 meters each).
The leading capital cities with the height of Christmas trees are Tashkent (35 meters), Minsk (30 meters), Dushanbe (28 meters), Moscow (27 meters), Astana, Bishkek and Tbilisi (25 meters).
Moscow, in turn, topped the list of ten capitals of the CIS according to the height of natural fir trees.
