The employees of the Police Department of the National Criminal Investigation and Criminal Investigation Department received operational information about the smuggling of narcotics to Armenia.
As reported by the RA Police Press and Public Relations Department, on December 24, in cooperation with the operative intelligence department of the State Revenue Committee’s anti-smuggling department, the Meghri police and the officers of the Russian border guard troops, the bus from Iran was subjected to customs inspection at the customs control zone of the “Agarak” checkpoint of the state border around 3 o’clock.
A personal search of one of the passengers, Mojtaba Ezedinfoumesh, and a total of 20 pills of “Tramadol” marked “200” and “100” were found in the drawer of his seat.
A criminal case was initiated in the SRC investigative department. According to the conclusion of the forensic chemical examination, a “tramadol” type psychotropic substance was found in the tablets. Mojtaba Ezedinfumeshi was arrested. An investigation is underway.
