According to the lease agreement and the license No. LJ 0001 granted to “Veolia Water” CJSC by the RA PSC, each year a review (adjustment) of the drinking water supply and water drainage (wastewater treatment) services provided by the company to subscribers, including retail tariffs, is planned.
In accordance with the requirements of the current legislation, in August of this year, Veolia Water Company submitted an application to review (adjust) the tariffs in 2019. for It provided for an increase in the current tariff of about AMD 14 per cubic meter of water, including VAT.
On November 19, 2019 was held at the RA PSC with the participation of all interested parties. working discussion of the application.
According to its results, taking into account the data of the monitoring of the volumes of retail water supply carried out within the framework of the application, it was decided to submit for the approval of the commission session of the RA PSC, a project on setting the total retail tariff for drinking water supply and drainage services provided by “Veolia Water” CJSC at 202,272 drams/cubic meter, including VAT, which is an increase of 10,858 drams. 2018 from the current tariff.
In order to ease the social burden of the subscribers, the Ministry of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources appealed to the “Veolia Water” company in order to negotiate the possibility of not applying the tariff increase resulting from the requirements of the lease contract and license to the subscribers, offering an alternative financing method.
