The contribution to the Hayastan Fund by the NSS was not made at the expense of the budget. The press center of the NSS presented an explanation about this.

“Since early this morning, news has been circulating on a number of news and social sites that the RA NSS funded the “Hayastan” All-Armenian Fund at the expense of the state budget. This information is not true. The money raised for the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund was collected from the personal funds of RA NSS employees, and one month’s salary of the RA NSS director’s salary was added to it.

It was reported earlier that within the framework of the “Television Marathon-2018” yesterday, the director of the National Security Service Artur Vanetsyan with his son visited the Yerevan office of the “Hayastan” All-Armenian Fund. He collected AMD 9,527,540 for the Foundation. In addition, he donated one month’s salary on his behalf.
