Armenian authorities should respond to the statements of Russian officials. US Ambassador to Armenia Richard Mills stated this in a briefing with journalists.

“I have seen those assessments, reactions, and the Armenian government should respond to those comments. Our position was and remains that a thorough and objective investigation should be carried out regarding the events of March 1. And it is important for that investigation to be carried out within the framework of the rule of law and proper legal processes,” Mills said, answering the question whether such statements do not indicate that there is an attempt to put pressure on the RA authorities.

Let us remind that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov announced that Russia is worried about the events in Armenia. According to him, “the situation in Armenia continues to boil.” Prime Minister of RA yesterday Nikol Pashinyan, commenting on this statement, said: “Yes, it’s really hot today.”
