VERELQ presents the most notable publications of the Armenian press.
“People” the daily writes: “Nikol Pashinyan When initiating constitutional changes in Armenia, the government has to turn to the help of the RPA faction of the National Assembly. The point is that Articles 92 and 151 of the RA Constitution, which are related to the holding of extraordinary NA elections, can also be amended by the Parliament. But for this it is necessary that at least two-thirds of deputies, 70 people, vote in favor. Now, 50 of the 105 deputies of the National Assembly are still members of the RPA faction, besides, 8 deputies have left the RPA, but it is difficult to definitely consider them members of Pashinyan’s team. So Nikol Pashinyan will face trials in order to attract a sufficient number of legislators to his side.”
“Publication” the newspaper writes. “Approximately 10 days ago, the Central Bank of RA, signed by the head of the financial control department, Hrant Suvaryan, sent a remarkable letter to the “pawn shops operating in the territory of the Republic of Armenia”, the pawnbrokers. It was suggested to provide it within 2 days “for the purpose of providing it to law enforcement agencies”. Mikael Harutyunni Harutyunyan, Robert Sedrak Kocharyan and Yuri Grigori Khachaturov information about “any kind of transaction” made by Naturally, such letters were also sent to private banks, credit and other organizations. Although it is strange that the investigating authorities believe that these persons would have pawned gold or other valuables, which is what the poor sections of society usually do.
“Publication” the newspaper writes. “With some information, second president Robert Kocharyanall family members committed to the team recruitment process. We were told that even during the days of Kocharyan’s detention, the ex-president’s wife personally contacted her husband’s former allies and almost forced them to provide support. Including: Gagik Tsarukyan talked with, however, according to some reports, the latter remained unresponsive to those urges, instead demanding guarantees from the new government for an equivalent treatment in exchange for his neutrality. By the way, according to reports, Kocharyan’s sons are cleaning up business documents before their father enters politics.”
“Publication” the daily writes. “Manvel Grigoryan A mass “emigration” has begun ahead of the new academic year from the family-owned “Grigor Lusavorich” University in Etchmiatsin, where there is also a college. We learned from the residents of Etchmiadzin that after what happened to the general, people decided to remove their children from the educational complex belonging to him, especially from the college, while, according to some reports, studying at that college was a certain guarantee of safety for many. By the way, we were told that the general’s previous illness has raised its head, cancer, and the composition of sugar in his blood is high, 24 points.”
“People” the daily writes: “The capital Yerevan will celebrate its 2800th anniversary without a mayor. As it is known, the CEC has set the date of the Yerevan Council of Elders elections on September 23. On that day, the composition of the future Council of Elders will become clear, as well as the name of the future mayor. However, despite this circumstance, the council of elders will not elect the mayor at once. “Zhoghovurd” daily has repeatedly reported that according to Article 17 of the RA Law “On Local Self-Government in the City of Yerevan”, “After the extraordinary election, the session of the newly elected Council of Elders is convened on the 10th day after the official publication of the election results.” The mayor will be elected at that session as well. It is obvious that the CEC will officially publish the results of the election of the council of elders a few days after the elections, if the participating forces do not appeal the results before then. In any case, the 10th day established by law will not be on September 29-30, that is, the days when the capital celebrates its foundation day.
“Publication” the daily writes. “On Saturday, the 100th anniversary of the birth of Aleksan Kirakosyan, a famous communist figure of the Soviet period, was celebrated. He was one of the most interesting figures of the Soviet era, about whom many remarkable memories are told by his contemporaries. He died in 2007 at the age of 88 and is buried in the Yerevan Central Cemetery. On Saturday, relatives first visited his grave, and then remembered him at the table in the evening. He also participated in the meeting Serzh Sargsyanaccompanied by his bodyguard chief Wacho. Previously, at least 5 years ago, he participated in the memorial ceremony of Alexei Matveyich. On the occasion of the 100th anniversary, the family is also republishing the book of Kirakosyan’s memoirs, which was published in 2002, edited by Karine Khodikyan.
“Fact” the daily writes. The country has turned into revolutionaries and counter-revolutionaries. It’s sad, extremely sad, but a fact. All those who praise, glorify, incense the new authorities, they are “pupush”, moreover, they are completely infallible. But if anyone suddenly and dares to lightly criticize any government official, especially the prime minister, he is definitely, without a doubt, a “scumbag”, anti-revolutionary, anti-state. And what do they do with such people? that’s right: they are subjected to total attack, discredit, destruction. It’s not enough, people like that should be hanged, in Square, during another rally. Otherwise, it is not possible to achieve a result with only words, no matter how full of bile and swearing those words are. What’s more, there is no shortage of threats.
And if you are serious, such a division of society is really worrying: revolutionaries and counter-revolutionaries (which is the same as anti-state: well, the “I am the state” way of working has only been transformed over the centuries according to individuals). It is not at all necessary that those criticizing the government’s activities necessarily “tear the thread” of the Republican Party or Kocharian, necessarily be Nikol’s enemy, be anti-revolutionary. Moreover, among them, perhaps, there are not a few people who mercilessly criticized the former authorities. And there is still a question: who is more patriotic? the one who blindly turned faith and trust into a cult, who only walks around with rose-colored glasses, or the one who feels sorry for the country and the state, who sees the gaps and speaks out about them with the intention of correcting and helping? The first ones, by the way, destroyed Serzh Sargsyan’s government, because the RPA members simply appeared in a different reality, having nothing to do with the country and the people. Now we can put Nikol Pashinyan and his government into a parallel reality, because when you often say that everything is fine, you start to believe it, you don’t see the existing problems, a serious stock of arrogance emerges. This is dangerous. It is even more dangerous when dignified, sincere, intelligent people who have no connection with the former begin to wash their hands little by little and move aside. They should be listened to, not pushed away. The repulsors don’t love our country more…
