Azerbaijani forces have tried this night to infiltrate Armenian positions in northern section of the Line of Contact between Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan. Panorama.am turned to Artsakh president Spokesperson Davit Babayan for comments regarding the official Stepanakert view on the occurred.

“The incident is not surprising as the adversary periodically resorts to such actions. The fact that incursion attempts have been recorded rarely over the recent period does not mean the adversary has reviewed its policy and refused terrorism as a mean of struggle. The reason is it had no chance as all similar attempts have been thwarted. Azerbaijan, however, is periodically testing our vigilance aiming to inflict damages,” Babayan noted.

Our interlocutor next reminded that Azerbaijan has adopted Armenophobia as a state policy which is expressed not only through provocations at the border but also in the civilian life, in schools and kindergartens, in particular.

“Anti-Armenian sentiments dominate in Azerbaijan at all levels. starting from kindergartens to the highest echelons of the power.” added the Artsakh president spokesperson.
