No matter how much the authorities try to focus citizens’ attention on internal political processes and make efforts to destroy the political field, the security environment around Armenia and Artsakh is even more tense as a result of careless policies. Armen Ashotyan, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the RA National Assembly, wrote about this on his Facebook page.

The Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan satisfied the 2nd President of RA Robert Kocharyan motion to detain. Kocharyan was detained for 2 months. As an accused, Kocharyan is involved in the crime of clashes following the 2008 presidential elections, which resulted in the murder of 10 people. To him, AKP General Secretary Yuri Khachaturov and former Minister of Defense Mikael Harutyunyan accused of subverting the constitutional order.

Putting aside the legal aspect of the criminal case initiated against CSTO General Secretary Yuri Khachaturov, it is obvious to him that the form and manner in which the process was carried out damaged the CSTO’s reputation. “By the way, these risks were obvious from the very beginning of the process. The official reaction of the Russian Foreign Ministry and the way it was presented was also not pleasant,” he says, referring to the Prime Minister in an interview with Al Jazeera. Nikol Pashinyanto the words.

“In his interview given to Al Jazeera (published on July 27), Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan repeated his accusation against the Russian side of organizing a provocation, although before that the Minister of Defense had quite successfully settled the scandalous topic,” the deputy pointed out, speaking about the negative impulses emerging in Armenian-Russian relations to the Azerbaijani “Sputnik” agency. Maria Zakharova in the context of the interview.

“In her interview with the Azerbaijani Sputnik agency, Maria Zakharova did not distinguish between Russia’s relations with Armenia and Azerbaijan, although Armenia-Russia relations are allied and much more strategic,” the parliamentarian emphasized.

According to him, the listed bilateral negative impulses cannot help but worry, especially considering the overactive and aggressive Azerbaijani lobbying in Moscow after the change of power in Armenia. “Let’s not forget the anti-Russian front that is active in our country and partially represented in the government,” he notes.

According to Ashotyan, any desired bilateral relationship should be based on dignity, mutual respect and sovereignty, and serve the state interest of the country. “In this case, the interests of both Armenia and Russia dictate the same imperative: Armenian-Russian relations should remain strategic-alliance. The rest is a dangerous game for all parties,” he concludes.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
