Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan received the delegation headed by the Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, Co-Chairman of the Inter-Parliamentary Commission Boleslav Pirshtuk.
The Prime Minister expressed confidence that the results of the 10th session of the inter-parliamentary commission held in Yerevan will contribute to the further development and strengthening of bilateral political and economic relations. Emphasizing cooperation in the economic sphere, Karen Karapetyan noted that the bilateral trade turnover is at a low level and added that the governments of the two countries are now discussing specific steps and projects that will give new momentum to Armenian-Belarusian economic ties.
The Prime Minister emphasized the attraction of Belarusian capital to the free economic zone of Meghri and considered the organization of the production of agricultural machinery, elevators, agricultural products processing, transport and other sectors in our country to be promising in cooperation with Belarusian partners. The head of the RA government emphasized that the Armenian side is ready to create the most favorable conditions for Belarusian business.
Boleslav Pirshtuk it is effective to evaluate the work of the 10th session of the inter-parliamentary commission and note that the parties have agreed to create working groups that will operate in different fields and will try to contribute to the continuous development of Armenian-Belarusian friendly relations with their work. The Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus emphasized the promotion of economic relations and considered it necessary to organize bilateral direct flights and the creation of joint ventures.
Boleslav Pirstuk expressed his belief that the two countries have great opportunities and potential for the development of cooperation.
