Yerevan will host one of the series of Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating in October 2018, the National Olympic Committee reported, citing the President of the Figure Skating Federation of Armenia, Melania Stepanyan.

“We submitted a relevant application to the International Skating Union (ISU) together with the Figure Skating Federation member Sargis Tevanyan. The application has been approved, with one of the series of ISU Junior Grand Prix to be held in Yerevan next year. Figure skaters aged 13-19 participate in this tournament,” she said, highlighting Irina Rodnina Figure Skating Centre operating in Armenia played key role in the approval of Armenia’s request by ISU.
