Sports: Three Armenian freestyle wrestlers included in United World Wrestling rankings

The United World Wrestling (UWW) has released the updated ranking list for the freestyle wrestlers. As Panorama.am was informed from the official website of the Armenian National Olympic Committee (ANOC), the rankings feature three Armenian freestyle wrestlers, who captured bronze medals at the European Championships.

Volodya Frangulyan (61kg) has climbed up a few spots, taking the 12th position. Grigor Grigoryan has also improved his position, ranking the 10th in the rating list. Levan Berianidze (125 kg) remains in the 6th place.

The Armenian freestyle wrestling team is currently preparing for the World Championships.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
