Russian and Turkish deputy foreign ministers have discussed the
Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in Ankara on October 14.

According to the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Grigori
Karasin and Feridun Sinirlioglu spoke of the recent developments in
negotiations over Nagorno-Karabakh.

The two diplomats also spoke about the situation in the Central Asia
and South Caucasus.

Nagorno-Karabakh broke away from Azerbaijan in 1991 which was followed
by a bloody war that left about 30,000 dead and more than a million
displaced.

Currently Russia, the US and France are mediating talks to find a
peaceful solution to the conflict, but no major progress has been
achieved so far.
