BAKU. – Azerbaijan intends to apply for hosting the Candidates
Tournament to be held next year, said Azerbaijani Chess Federation
representatives at meeting with FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov,
reports Azerisport.
Baku is ready to guarantee the security of Armenian player Levon
AronÑ~Han, whose refusal to play in Baku moved the tournament to
Kazan last year.
